Staying Current with Desktop Alerts

Do you want to get alerted in real time to breaking news and commentary across all sorts of different sites?

You can use Eluma to turn any RSS feeds that you want to track into Desktop Alerts.  That way, you don't need to visit websites to see if there are any new items in any of your feeds.  Instead, Eluma will pop up an alert box (or update the scrolling ticker window) on your screen whenever new items are published from any of your feeds.  Use Eluma to see weather alerts, news alerts, traffic alerts, or to see the latest blog entries, as they happen.

Alerts can be set on any RSS feeds right from the web page using your Internet Explorer or Firefox toolbar plug-in, or from the Eluma Desktop for RSS feeds in your Personal Collections area or your Subscribed Collections area.

Just select the RSS feed you want to set as an alert, and select Alert Me! with the right mouse button, or click on the Bell icon.

Then, a “pop-up” alert or a scrolling ticker alert is displayed when a new item is published in any of your feeds!

Want to change any of the alerts?  You can easily view and manage all of your alerts from one single folder in the Alerts Smartlist.
