Eluma's Privacy Policy
Eluma is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy Statement covers how Eluma treats personal information that Eluma gathers when you use Eluma’s web site, product and services.
Information Collection and Use
Personal Information
In general, you can use the Eluma web site, products and services without providing information that personally identifies you. However, Eluma offers some optional services that require you to register for an account and provide personal information (such as your user name, account password and email address) before you can use them.
If you register with Eluma, we only use this personal information to:
1) identify you as a registered user of our services;
2) deliver these optional products and services;
These optional services include synchronizing your data across different computers, publishing collections, commenting on items in subscribed collections, and self-service branding.
With our “send to a friend” feature, we ask you for the email addresses for your recipients. We only use these addresses to send the one-time email and do not keep or share this information.
As part of our web site, we may ask for personal information such as your email address if you opt-in to receive information about our latest product announcements, special offers, or events that you might like to hear about. We only use this personal information to deliver the information you requested.
You may decline to submit personal information, in which case Eluma may not be able to provide some services to you.
When you send email or other communication to Eluma, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests or improve our services.
Non-Personal Information and Cookies
When you use Eluma, our servers automatically log information that by itself is not sufficient to personally identify you. This log transaction information may include your Internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, and the date and time of your request. Eluma does not permanently store this log transaction information.
Eluma may also collect anonymous, aggregated browsing or behavior data for use in making content recommendations or product improvements. For example, when you rate an item in Eluma, your rating contributes to the aggregated rating for that item within Eluma, but we do not connect this rating to you and others cannot view your personal rating.
We only use this non-personal information to:
1) deliver our products and services to you;
2) evaluate and improve our web site, products and services;
3) make content recommendations.
Cookies are small files that allow web servers to recognize the computer used to access a site. Eluma uses cookies to store user preferences, deliver content specific to your interests and to allow us to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site and use our services.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Eluma does not share or rent your personal information with anyone without your consent, except as required by law or court order.
Eluma may share certain aggregated, anonymous information with third parties, for example the number of users who subscribed to a particular collection. This information does not identify individual users.
Public Forums
Our web site, product and services make forums, message boards and/or newsgroups available to its users. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas is public information. Eluma is not responsible for the content, use or protection of any information disclosed in these areas.
Links to Other Sites
Eluma's web site, product and services may contain links to other sites whose privacy and information practices may be different than ours. You should consult these other sites' privacy notices. Eluma is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these other sites.
Security
Eluma has implemented technology, security features and strict policy guidelines that we believe safeguard the privacy of your information from unauthorized access or improper use, including encrypting your personal information on secure servers.
We take reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage method, processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data. Regardless, we urge you to take precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.
