What is Eluma?
Eluma™ provides brandable software that lets you receive your favorite brand’s content and promotions directly on your desktop without needing to visit their website.
Eluma communities contain many kinds of content including shared bookmarks and RSS feeds, and rich media such as Flash, podcasts and video. Via Desktop Alerts you can be instantly notified of time-sensitive news or promotions. Additionally, community members can share feedback through rating, tagging and commenting on shared content.

What are the system requirements for running Eluma?
In order to use Eluma software, your computer must be running Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. The optional Eluma Toolbar requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. In addition, the Eluma Desktop requires Microsoft .NET framework 2.0. If you are running Microsoft Windows Vista, the .NET framework will already be installed. Otherwise, if .NET framework 2.0 is not installed on your system, the Eluma installation application will ask if you wish to download and install it.
How long does it take to download the Eluma Desktop?
The Eluma download is less than 2MB in size. The initial download of the application should only take a minute or so with a broadband connection. Dial-up connections will take longer.
Why is the installation prompting me to install the .NET 2.0 Framework?
Eluma was developed using the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. This needs to be installed on your computer for Eluma to be able to run. If you are running Microsoft Windows Vista, the .NET framework should already be installed. Otherwise, If the Eluma installation detects that you do not already have the .NET 2.0 Framework, you will automatically be prompted to download and install the framework.
What does Eluma install on my computer?
Eluma installs a System Tray application – a small icon in the bottom right corner of your screen from which you can launch the application or change the settings, an Internet Explorer toolbar, and the Eluma Desktop Community application. Optionally, Eluma may ask you to install the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 as part of the installation process. Eluma does not make changes to system files, nor does it install any other software, third-party packages, hidden adware, or spyware.
